Hi, I'm Emily!

I did not just study business. I lived it.

Growing up, entrepreneurship was not a concept in our house. It was just life. My mom ran a local law firm. My dad built a service business dedicated to succession planning and executive leadership consulting. They worked harder than anyone I have ever met, with less support than they deserved.

Before I built The Small Business Forge, I spent years in the corporate world. I started at Amazon helping top brands build and scale their presence on the platform, then moved into director level roles in accounts and partnerships. I managed C-suite relationships, drove online and business strategies, and worked alongside some of the largest brands in the digital marketing and ecommerce space, including multiple Fortune 500 companies.

I learned a lot. But I always knew I wanted to build something of my own.

 So I did. Multiple times.

Every business I built alongside my corporate career had a purpose behind it. I started a digital products business in college to build financial independence. I built an SVG shop and a print on demand brand to sharpen my digital skills firsthand. I launched Amazon businesses to understand the platform from the inside out so my executive recommendations were grounded in real experience. I built dropshipping businesses to learn the product world end to end. And when my husband decided to pursue his dream of owning an auto repair shop, I stepped in as the business lead to make sure it had the foundation it needed to succeed.

Some of those worked immediately. Some took longer. Some taught me exactly what not to do. All of them taught me something.

And through all of it, one thing kept bothering me.

Small business owners, the people who are the actual backbone of this economy, had nowhere real to turn. The information out there was fragmented, overwhelming, and built for big companies with big teams and big budgets. Nobody was building the roadmap for the person with a big idea and a real life to work around.

That is why I built The Small Business Forge.

I wanted to create the resource I wish I had when I was starting out. A real, structured, approachable path for founders at every stage, whether you are just figuring out your idea or ready to scale into something bigger. A place where small business owners get the support, education, and community they have always deserved.

My parents worked their whole lives building something from nothing. So do millions of founders every single day.

This is for them. And it is for you.

A few things about me beyond the business:

I am a new mom who has built businesses at every stage of life and I don't have plans to slow down now. I have been on both sides of the table, the corporate boardroom and the bootstrapped startup, and both shaped everything I teach. I believe the best businesses are built from purpose, not just profit. And I think every dreamer with a big idea deserves a real shot at making it real.

If you are here, you are in the right place.
